THE NEW ABORTION PROVIDERS // Jocelyn Lee
Summary: There is a new group of young doctors that don’t define themselves as “abortion doctors,” they try to make the procedure part of their broader medical practice — by spending much of their week seeing patients for general gynecology or primary-care visits, and by being on call on the labor and delivery floor. Their hope is that the politics around abortion would change if it could only move from clinics to doctor’s offices and hospitals.
